Senior Network Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver 24/7 monitoring, advanced technical assistance, network architecture, implementation, and escalation for the global network infrastructure.

• Design, configure, install, maintain, and upgrade next-generation firewalls from Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto.

• Oversee customer-facing networks and strategize network expansion through recommended designs, hardware, and connectivity solutions.

• Create and assess system and network designs to ensure alignment with corporate security policies and best practices.

• Implement and support SD-WAN, MPLS, wired and wireless Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.

• Offer multi-layered technical support via the Network Operations Center.

• Analyze and resolve broad or potentially service-impacting anomalies.

• Escalate issues to the appropriate resources or management when needed.

• Serve as an escalation point for customer concerns and internal work units.

• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and third-party providers during troubleshooting and design discussions.

• Accurately document issues in the ticketing system and provide timely updates to customers.

• Report directly to the Director of Network Operations.

• Adhere to company policies, data privacy practices, compliance training, and data handling procedures.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or University degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent 8+ years of related work experience.

• A minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience is required.

• Significant expertise in OSI-based network flow, complex network troubleshooting, debug commands, packet captures, and routing/path analysis.

• Extensive experience in configuring, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco ASA/Firepower and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center.

• Profound experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls, Fortinet Access Points, and Switches.

• Extensive knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches, including Cisco Nexus Switches.

• Significant experience with Juniper EX/QFX Switches, Routers, and SRX Firewalls.

• Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.

• In-depth experience with SD-WAN design and troubleshooting, particularly FortiGate SD-WAN.

• Profound understanding of BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS routing protocol design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimizing NSX environments.

• Significant experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting F5 Load Balancers, including LTM, GTM, and ASM.

• In-depth experience with VMware NSX-V and NSX-T.

• Comprehensive knowledge of MPLS design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

• Extensive experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting AWS networking services in production environments, including VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect, Security Groups, and NACLs.

• Expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Cloudflare services in production web and application environments, including DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust/Access, and Tunnel.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the designated country without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential function.

• Must obtain and maintain technical certifications to enhance knowledge of company products and services.
