Senior Network Engineer – LAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Resolve network connectivity issues for external clients

• Collaborate with Network Architects and Engineers to enhance data center network environments

• Launch initiatives aimed at improving Network Operations

• Work alongside internal business units to comprehend organizational requirements

• Consistently enhance and implement standards for operational excellence

• Review, assess, and process network change requests

• Implement, document, and create network automation for repetitive tasks

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot IP networking components within a mission-critical Cisco Nexus data center network

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and prepared for the future

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience working with medium to large enterprise networks

• Practical knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls

• Proficient in F5 or similar load balancing technologies

• Routing expertise with MPLS, OSPF, and BGP

• Switching experience with Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS; Nexus OS is preferred

• Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Python, including Netmiko, Nornir, and NAPALM

• Understanding of platform operating systems, router platforms, LAN, WAN, and routing protocols

• Insight into how MPLS, OSPF, and BGP function within the network

• Background in data center networking, DC fabric, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPNs

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities and a data-driven approach to resolving complex network issues

• Ability to create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and runbooks

• Experience in implementing solutions for large data centers, interoffice routing strategies, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, IPSec, and monitoring is advantageous
