Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, implement, and manage intricate network and security solutions.

• Troubleshoot issues within LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) environments.

• Conduct patch management for network solutions.

• Monitor network performance and capacity while identifying areas for enhancement.

• Analyze network problems and assess their impact on clients’ businesses.

• Establish and enforce network security protocols, standards, and guidelines.

• Oversee network operational status, collect and prioritize technical information, and provide reporting.

• Deliver remote technical assistance to on-site engineers and end users/customers.

• Evaluate technical requirements and convert them into appropriate network solutions.

• Proactively identify and suggest improvements to services and solutions.

• Stay current with relevant network technologies, services, and products.

• Support both customers and on-site engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration.

• At least 5 years of professional experience managing Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, such as STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP.

• Practical experience with wireless services, including installation and troubleshooting.

• Good knowledge of VPN solutions and encryption services.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and a solid grasp of network protocols.

• Ability to swiftly investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues.

• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.

• Proficiency in English at Upper-Intermediate level or above.

• Background check required for all final candidates.

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification, Fortinet NSE 4 certification, Check Point CCSA certification, public cloud experience, AZ-700 certification or equivalent, Meraki cloud deployment experience, and automation skills are considered advantageous.
