Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, implement, and manage intricate network and security solutions.

• Troubleshoot environments involving LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW.

• Execute patch management for network solutions.

• Monitor network performance and capacity while identifying areas for enhancement.

• Analyze network issues and assess their effects on clients’ business operations.

• Protect network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, standards, and guidelines.

• Oversee network operational status, collect and prioritize technical information, and generate reports.

• Offer remote technical support to on-site engineers and end users/customers.

• Examine technical requirements and convert them into appropriate network solutions.

• Actively identify and recommend enhancements to services and solutions.

• Stay informed about relevant network technologies, services, and products.

• Assist customers and on-site engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in network administration.

• More than 5 years of professional experience in maintaining Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments.

• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, such as STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP.

• Solid understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP.

• Hands-on experience with wireless services, including deployment and troubleshooting.

• Good understanding of VPN solutions and encryption services.

• Experience with network monitoring tools and a comprehensive understanding of network protocols.

• Capability to quickly investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues.

• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

• Background checks are mandatory for all final candidates.

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification, Fortinet NSE 4 certification, Check Point CCSA certification, cloud experience, AZ-700 certification or equivalent, experience with Meraki cloud deployment, and automation skills are advantageous.
