Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, implement, and manage advanced network and security solutions.

• Troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and next-generation firewall (NGFW) environments.

• Conduct patch management for network solutions.

• Monitor network performance and capacity, identifying areas for enhancement.

• Analyze network-related issues and their effects on customer operations.

• Establish and enforce policies, standards, and guidelines for network security.

• Oversee network operational status, collect and prioritize technical information, and generate reports.

• Offer remote technical support to on-site engineers and end-users/customers.

• Examine technical requirements and convert them into appropriate network solutions.

• Proactively identify and recommend enhancements to services and solutions.

• Stay informed about relevant network technologies, services, and products.

• Provide support to customers and on-site engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in network administration.

• More than 5 years of professional experience managing Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments.

• Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, including STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP.

• Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP stack protocols, such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP.

• Practical experience with wireless services, encompassing deployment and troubleshooting.

• Good knowledge of VPN solutions and encryption services.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and a solid grasp of network protocols.

• Ability to swiftly investigate, diagnose, and resolve intricate network issues.

• Basic understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Customer-oriented approach with excellent communication abilities.

• Proficiency in English at the Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

• Background checks are mandatory for all final candidates.

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification, Fortinet NSE 4 certification, Check Point CCSA certification, cloud experience, AZ-700 certification or equivalent, Meraki cloud deployment experience, and automation expertise are beneficial.
