Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, implement, and manage intricate network and security solutions.

• Diagnose issues within LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW settings.

• Execute patch management for network solutions.

• Oversee network performance and capacity, identifying areas for enhancement.

• Investigate network problems and assess their effects on customer operations.

• Safeguard network systems by formulating and enforcing policies, standards, and guidelines.

• Track network operational status, collect and prioritize technical data, and generate reports.

• Offer remote technical assistance to on-site engineers and end users/customers.

• Evaluate technical requirements and convert them into effective network solutions.

• Actively seek to identify and suggest enhancements to services and solutions.

• Keep abreast of pertinent network technologies, services, and products.

• Assist customers and on-site engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in network administration.

• More than 5 years of professional experience managing Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments.

• In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, such as STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP.

• Practical experience with wireless services, including deployment and troubleshooting.

• Good grasp of VPN solutions and encryption services.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and a solid understanding of network protocols.

• Capability to swiftly investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues.

• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or above.

• Preferred: Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification, Fortinet NSE 4 certification, Check Point CCSA certification, Azure/AWS/GCP public cloud experience, AZ-700 certification or equivalent, Meraki cloud deployment experience, and automation skills in Python, Bash scripting, APIs, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
