Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, implement, and manage intricate network and security solutions

• Diagnose issues within LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW environments

• Oversee patch management for network solutions

• Track network performance and capacity while identifying areas for enhancement

• Evaluate network problems and their effects on customers’ operations

• Protect network systems by establishing and enforcing applicable policies, standards, and guidelines

• Supervise network operational health, collect and prioritize technical information, and deliver reports

• Offer remote technical assistance to on-site engineers and end users/customers

• Assess technical requirements and convert them into appropriate network solutions

• Actively identify and suggest enhancements to services and solutions

• Keep abreast of relevant network technologies, services, and products

• Assist customers and on-site engineers

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in network administration

• More than 5 years of professional experience managing Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments

• In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, such as STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP

• Practical experience with wireless services, including deployment and troubleshooting

• Good understanding of VPN solutions and encryption services

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and a robust understanding of network protocols

• Capability to swiftly investigate, diagnose, and resolve intricate network issues

• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities

• Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or above

• Background check required for final candidates

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification is a plus

• Fortinet NSE 4 certification is a plus

• Check Point CCSA certification is a plus

• Experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP public cloud environments is a plus

• AZ-700 certification or equivalent is a plus

• Experience with Meraki cloud deployments is a plus

• Skills in automation using Python, Bash scripting, APIs, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies are a plus
