Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Overseeing and managing computer networks and associated computing environments, which include systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.

• Executing disaster recovery operations and performing data backups as necessary.

• Safeguarding data, software, and hardware by planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures.

• Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and other network and system components.

• Monitoring network performance to identify potential adjustments that may be required.

• Collaborating with network users to resolve existing system issues.

• Operating master consoles to oversee the performance of networks and computer systems.

• Managing access and usage of computer networks.

• Providing detailed information regarding hardware and software selection.

• Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary, including local and air travel when required.

• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sonicwall, Checkpoint, Ubiquiti, HP, Dell, Aruba, Arista, VMWare/Velocloud, Silverpeak, Meraki.

• Preferred certification level of CCNA route/switch or an equivalent vendor certification.

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field of Information Technology, with a focus on network engineering, is preferred.

• Familiarity with network infrastructure, hardware, and firmware.

• Capability to think critically and visualize solutions to problems.

• Proficiency in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, such as wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.

• Understanding of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.

• Ability to create precise network diagrams and documentation for the design and planning of network systems.

• Quick learning aptitude for new or unfamiliar technologies and products using available documentation and resources.

• Skill in collaborating with all levels of staff, both within and outside of IT, as well as external partners.

• A self-motivated individual capable of working independently while also being comfortable in a team setting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Reliability and flexibility when required.

• Preferred experience in network security.
