Mid-Level Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in and ultimately take charge of deploying enterprise network infrastructure solutions.

• Configure and provide support for routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and VPN technologies.

• Engage in network migrations, hardware upgrades, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

• Aid in the staging, validation, and testing of customer solutions before they go live.

• Participate in after-hours maintenance sessions and production cutovers as needed.

• Diagnose network connectivity, routing, switching, wireless, and security-related challenges.

• Assist in escalation activities during project implementations and customer incidents.

• Conduct root cause analysis and support remediation planning.

• Collaborate effectively with senior engineers, project managers, and technical leads.

• Develop and maintain implementation documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of delivery standards, deployment processes, and operational workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of practical experience in network engineering or infrastructure support.

• Proven experience in supporting enterprise networking environments.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong grasp of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking principles.

• Familiarity with routing and switching technologies.

• Experience in supporting wireless networking environments.

• Knowledge of firewall and VPN technologies.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to engage in after-hours implementation and maintenance tasks.

• Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or similar technologies is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud networking and identity platforms such as Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, etc., is preferred.

• Exposure to virtualization technologies like VMware is preferred.

• Experience in Professional Services, Managed Services, or customer delivery environments is preferred.

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE, Aruba, or equivalents are preferred.
