This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan and execute intricate technical projects, encompassing everything from survey and engineering to site implementation.
• Establish and uphold high standards for installation and service, while guiding, training, and mentoring network installation technicians to achieve peak performance.
• Act as a technical resource for project managers and field technicians.
• Collaborate directly with project managers as the primary communication link for field installation teams supporting the PM’s projects.
• Maintain oversight and accountability for the task-oriented efforts of personnel assigned to projects.
• Assist in ensuring that engineering schedules are met or exceeded.
• Work with stakeholders to comprehend requirements and convert them into detailed IT implementation designs.
• Lead the deployment and implementation of IT systems, ensuring that project timelines and quality standards are adhered to.
• Conduct physical onsite network surveys to determine the engineering solutions for each assigned project.
• Provide support for client-site network installations, including the setup of complete service delivery nodes as outlined in Site Engineering Solution (SES) documentation.
• Prepare and deliver complex site reports, documents, diagrams, and VISIO drawings as needed to satisfy customer deliverables. Train and certify others to achieve the same level of proficiency.
• Contribute insights to the field technicians group for the development of procedural documentation related to field tasks, including BER testing, platform configurations, and various procedures.
• Configure installed technology, which may involve cryptographic, MPLS, optical, and timing equipment along with supporting systems.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults to restore installed equipment to operational status, coordinating with network engineers to facilitate installation testing and acceptance.
• Provide project design support in collaboration with Engineering as needed to achieve customer objectives.
• Assess, design, build, and document current site network configurations and user requirements at each location, interpreting SES based on real-world conditions and modifying designs accordingly.
• Lead and direct the preparation of drawings to document configuration changes.
• Execute system-level design and configuration of products, including determining hardware and other platform specifications.
• Document as-built configurations through redlined SES documentation and produce Completion Reports (CR), while overseeing client-site installation support services.
• Maintain high standards for installation services and instill these standards in assigned field technicians.
• Provide both onsite and remote technical guidance during the deployment, configuration, commissioning, and testing of systems.
• Offer onsite direction and support during installations.
• Ensure that assigned field technicians stay up-to-date with all necessary training and certifications until completion.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience as an Implementation Engineer.
• Active Secret Clearance; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
• Must be willing to travel 90% of the time for deployments, including both CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations.
