Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold global network infrastructure.

• Create and manage Akamai's core network configuration templates utilizing Jinja2.

• Integrate new hardware platforms and network functionalities within the automation framework.

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to establish data models and functional specifications.

• Act as a subject matter expert for intricate network challenges.

• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and analysis.

• Develop and sustain clear documentation and procedures.

• Propel the advancement of network infrastructure from initial design to execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.

• Extensive experience in IP network design and the implementation of scalable BGP routing architecture.

• Knowledge of Data Center architecture, including CLOS Fabric and overlay technologies such as VxLAN and EVPN.

• Experience in managing and troubleshooting multi-vendor environments, including Juniper and Cisco.

• Proficiency with routing platforms like BIRD, FRR, and Cumulus.

• Understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns.

• Experience in developing and managing network configuration templates using Python, Ansible, and Jinja2.
