Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve issues before they impact users.

• Collaborate with the Security team to enhance network security and address emerging threats.

• Oversee remote access and site-to-site VPN, including client-based VPN for a distributed workforce.

• Manage networking for Virtuozzo and oVirt virtualization clusters, as well as Azure, GCP, and AWS cloud environments.

• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors regarding service issues, escalations, and capacity planning.

• Plan capacity and manage hardware lifecycle for corporate sites and data centers.

• Execute changes during maintenance windows with verified rollback plans.

• Maintain the network supporting internal platforms, data center fabric, virtualization clusters, corporate sites, and cloud connectivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience as a network engineer or administrator in a production environment.

• Strong understanding of the TCP/IP stack and principles of network design.

• Hands-on experience with dynamic routing protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF.

• Familiarity with switches, routers, and firewalls from enterprise vendors such as Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, or Mikrotik.

• Practical knowledge of NAT, VLAN, xSTP, LACP, ACLs, QoS, GRE over IPsec, VRF-lite, VRRP, and PBR.

• Experience with remote access VPN and site-to-site VPN.

• Familiarity with cloud networking in at least one of Azure, GCP, or AWS.

• Proactive mindset.

• Excellent communication skills.
