Senior Network Consultant – SA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, migrate, and provide support for enterprise and data center networks.

• Create and troubleshoot environments utilizing Cisco ACI and Cisco ISE.

• Engage with enterprise firewall technologies, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, routing, and high availability.

• Work across Layer 2/3 networking, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, EVPN/VXLAN, and spine-and-leaf architectures.

• Generate High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), migration plans, testing plans, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate directly with clients on technical requirements, workshops, and solution design.

• Provide support for intricate troubleshooting, upgrades, and customer deployments.

• Partner closely with sales and pre-sales teams to create technical solutions.

• Share expertise and aid in the development of fellow engineers.

• Cultivate specialized knowledge in AI and next-generation data center networking technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A CCIE-level engineer with substantial hands-on experience; CCIE certification is highly preferred.

• CCNP certification is mandatory.

• Extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing Cisco ACI.

• Practical knowledge of Cisco ISE, including 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, and network access control.

• Strong background in enterprise/data center networking.

• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls and network security.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in producing technical designs and documentation.

• Strong communication skills in customer-facing scenarios.

• A curious and proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies.

• Experience with Python, Ansible, or network automation is a plus.
