Senior .NET Developer, VB, SPB

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Join our team as a Senior .NET Developer with expertise in VB and SPB.

• Develop and maintain applications using .NET, C#, VB, VB.NET, and VB6.

• Collaborate with web services, REST/SOAP APIs, WCF, WebAPI, and XML.

• Engage with legacy systems in VB, VB.NET, VB6, and SYBASE, facilitating the digital transformation towards the desired future state (TO-BE).

• Gather product requirements and cultivate strong relationships with business stakeholders.

• Conduct reverse engineering, converting code into actionable business rules.

• Enhance the engineering process by improving code reviews, testing methodologies, version control, and release/rollback strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive development experience in .NET Core (6+) / .NET: C#, VB, VB.NET, and VB6.

• In-depth knowledge of web services, RESTful APIs, WCF, SOAP, WebAPI, and XML.

• Proficient in PL/SQL databases; experience with Oracle is preferred.

• Familiar with messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or SQS.

• Knowledgeable in unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.

• Capable of gathering product requirements, asking insightful questions, building strong relationships with business areas, and working independently with self-organization.

• Willing to work with legacy systems in VB, VB.NET, VB6, and SYBASE.

• Experienced in agile methodologies: Scrum/Kanban.

• Practical experience with PL/SQL.

• Background in building REST/SOAP APIs, Web API, Windows Services, and WCF.

• Familiar with SOLID principles, DDD, OOP, dependency injection, and data persistence.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud services.

• Experience in reverse engineering.

• Understanding of SPB – Brazilian Payment System and its message formats.
