Senior Multi-Cloud Engineer, Cloud Managed Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, manage infrastructure, optimize operations, and implement changes across AWS and GCP environments.

• Identify and diagnose complex operational problems to determine root causes.

• Utilize AI to expedite investigations and resolutions.

• Develop automation and AI-driven workflows to remove repetitive tasks.

• Oversee cloud-native services including compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and security.

• Create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Google Deployment Manager.

• Generate runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation.

• Assess and report on the impact of automation and AI initiatives on operational efficiency, service delivery, customer experience, and platform reliability.

• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, automation, and AI-first operational practices.

• Act as the main technical resource for managed services clients.

• Lead technical discussions with customers and internal account teams.

• Communicate effectively regarding incidents, service requests, maintenance activities, and change implementations.

• Provide exceptional customer service while upholding SLA commitments.

• Mentor team members and spearhead technical initiatives.

• Offer technical leadership during complex incidents, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

• Assist in the growth and enhancement of Presidio’s GCP managed services alongside its AWS operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in troubleshooting and managing core services in both AWS and GCP, encompassing compute, networking, identity, storage, monitoring/observability, and security.

• A minimum of 3 years in developing automation solutions utilizing Python, Infrastructure-as-Code, APIs, workflows, or orchestration tools.

• At least 3 years of experience in supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, managed services, or platform engineering environments.

• Proven capability to leverage AI tools, assistants, and automation platforms to enhance operational efficiency and expedite problem-solving.

• Experience in consuming and integrating REST APIs and cloud-native services.

• Strong analytical and systems-thinking abilities with a demonstrated aptitude for diagnosing complex technical issues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in supporting containerized workloads.

• Possession of at least one current AWS or GCP certification, or a willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hiring.

• Must be eligible to support public sector clients and successfully complete necessary criminal history, fingerprint-based, or other mandated background checks.

• Availability during designated shift hours; after-hours escalation and on-call rotation may be necessary.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Active certification(s) proof is required.

• Successful completion and maintenance of all customer-required background checks and eligibility criteria is mandatory.

• Desired: experience working with an AWS/GCP Managed Service Provider (MSP).

• Desired: production experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Desired: experience in creating AI-powered operational workflows and intelligent automation solutions.

• Desired: familiarity with LLMs, generative AI platforms, and AI assistants.

• Desired: experience integrating Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI APIs, or similar platforms.

• Desired: experience in developing agentic workflows, AI orchestration frameworks, or autonomous operational processes.

• Desired: experience with AIOps platforms, observability tools, and intelligent event correlation systems.

• Desired: experience in building knowledge retrieval, RAG, or AI-assisted support solutions.

• Desired: experience with cost optimization and rightsizing across AWS and GCP.

• Desired: experience troubleshooting EKS/AKS/GKE implementations.
