Senior Motion Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Create and develop motion graphics for product explainers, website animations, social media video snippets, keynote presentations, event motion, and campaign materials.

• Draft basic storyboards for simple projects.

• Produce refined product demonstration animations and feature explainers based on product UI frames.

• Establish Zapier's motion design language and branded animation patterns across various platforms.

• Develop motion guidelines, component libraries, and MOGRT files for use by independent partners and social teams.

• Investigate Jitter and Figma Motion to facilitate the creation of animated assets that align with brand standards.

• Generate brief video snippets for paid social media testing across different styles and formats.

• Assist in maintaining the recurring product video format and create scalable templates for upcoming launches.

• Collaborate with brand designers, design operations, PMM, Product Design, Web, Social, and external agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to transform UI frames or brand briefs into engaging animated narratives.

• Adequate product knowledge to identify animation communication requirements.

• Experience in creating MOGRT files, component libraries, and motion guidelines.

• Strong grasp of brand motion, timing, easing, and emotional impact.

• Excellent sense of sound and rhythm, with an understanding of motion/sound integration.

• Familiarity with narrative structure in motion: setup, tension, and resolution.

• Proactive application of creative skills while engaging with stakeholders.

• Proficient use of AI tools, including video editing tools, as part of the creative process.

• Capability to work efficiently in ambiguous situations and adapt quickly.

• Authorization to work in the country of residence without the need for company visa sponsorship.
