Senior Mobile QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Take charge of comprehensive testing for the mobile application on both iOS and Android platforms, covering functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing.

• Assess business and functional requirements to outline testing scope, pinpoint risks, and create test cases and scenarios.

• Ensure consistency across multiple devices and platforms by validating various OS versions, screen sizes, and device capabilities.

• Document and report clear, reproducible defects, and verify fixes through organized regression testing.

• Examine payment and transaction processes with a focus on data accuracy, security, and specific edge cases related to fintech.

• Work collaboratively with business and IT teams in an Agile setting throughout the development lifecycle.

• Guide and mentor team members on test design and defect documentation.

• Play an active role in enhancing quality standards within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

• Extensive hands-on experience in mobile testing for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Demonstrated skills in test design, including requirements analysis, edge case identification, and the ability to write structured, maintainable test cases.

• Proficient in converting business requirements into Gherkin test cases.

• Experience in conducting usability testing and a solid understanding of diverse user behaviors.

• Strong background with bug tracking and test management tools.

• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation purposes.

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience in the fintech/payments sector is a plus.

• Experience in writing automated test scripts for mobile applications is a plus.
