Senior Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy production-quality features across Android and shared KMP layers from design to launch.

• Implement functionalities across core product areas using Compose Multiplatform UI, shared business logic, and MVI state management.

• Contribute to a layered, multi-module architecture while maintaining module boundaries and adhering to shared platform contracts.

• Collaborate with shared platform teams to execute defined interfaces and isolate app-specific logic from shared platform concerns.

• Work alongside product, design, and QA teams to deliver consistent, pixel-perfect experiences across various platform targets.

• Write testable, well-organized Kotlin utilizing coroutines, flows, KSP-based code generation, and dependency injection methodologies.

• Conduct code reviews while upholding module boundary discipline and build system standards.

• Participate in on-call rotations to diagnose and resolve cross-platform issues.

• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.

• Contribute to Fanatics Markets, a real-money prediction and trading application for sports, entertainment, political, and other events.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in developing scalable, consumer-facing Android applications.

• Strong understanding of MVI architecture.

• Proficient in Kotlin, including coroutines, flows, idioms, and best practices.

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform in a multi-module codebase.

• Hands-on experience with Compose or Compose Multiplatform.

• Expertise in Gradle multi-module projects, convention plugins, and dependency management.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile testing.

• Experience working across shared platform and library boundaries.

• Ability to communicate technical decisions effectively to peers, product, and design stakeholders.

• Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

• Proven track record of consistent, high-quality delivery.

• Bonus: Experience with Compose Multiplatform across Android, iOS, desktop, and wasm targets.

• Bonus: Knowledge of KSP-based code generation and Koin or similar dependency injection in a KMP environment.

• Bonus: Familiarity with feature flag systems and mobile observability tools.

• Bonus: Experience with backend services, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
