
Senior Mobile Authentication Integration Engineer – iOS/Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Integrate Okta Identity Engine (OIE) Embedded SDKs into native iOS and Android applications while adhering to Federal identity standards.
• Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), PKCE, manage token lifecycles, and ensure secure session handling.
• Develop secure mobile authentication, identity enrollment, and account recovery workflows that align with Federal digital identity guidelines.
• Implement phishing-resistant authentication methods including FIDO2/WebAuthn and passkeys.
• Integrate CAC/PIV, Purebred, and various government-issued mobile credentials.
• Manage the secure storage of credentials and tokens utilizing the iOS Keychain and Android Keystore.
• Implement device registration, trusted device policies, and mobile biometric authentication such as Face ID, Touch ID, and Android Biometrics.
• Apply mobile application security measures including OWASP Mobile Top 10, certificate pinning, TLS configuration, and secure network communication.
• Troubleshoot issues related to authentication, SDKs, APIs, and mobile platform integrations.
• Design mobile enrollment workflows that comply with NIST SP 800-63.
• Implement secure application routing using Universal Links and Android App Links.
• Create proxy user experiences that support dependent access.
• Design in-app authentication experiences that eliminate the need for browser redirects.
• Assist in the integration of native mobile applications with enterprise IAM/CIAM systems utilized by Federal agencies.
• Ensure adherence to NIST SP 800‑63 Digital Identity Guidelines and principles of Zero Trust authentication.
• Participate in Agile development processes, DevSecOps pipelines, and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with Federal cybersecurity, identity management, and mobile engineering teams to guarantee the secure delivery of mobile identity capabilities.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; at least 6 years with an MS/MA; or a minimum of 3 years with a PhD.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Extensive experience in native iOS development using Swift.
• Extensive experience in native Android development using Kotlin/Java.
• Practical experience integrating Okta Identity Engine (OIE) Embedded SDKs into native applications.
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, PKCE, and secure token management.
• Experience in implementing FIDO2/WebAuthn, passkeys, and other phishing-resistant authentication techniques.
• Knowledge of mobile identity enrollment, account recovery, and secure credential storage methods.
• Experience in integrating RESTful APIs and enterprise backend identity services.
• Familiarity with CAC/PIV, Purebred, and other Federal mobile credentials.
• Background in mobile security, including OWASP Mobile Top 10, certificate pinning, and TLS.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, automated testing, and mobile release management.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities across authentication flows, SDK integrations, and mobile platforms.
• Experience in supporting enterprise or Federal mobile authentication solutions.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800‑63 Digital Identity Guidelines.
• Understanding of Zero Trust authentication principles.
• Experience with Agile development and Git-based workflows.
