Senior ML Engineer – 3 Month Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and manage machine learning pipelines utilizing Kubeflow Pipelines (KFP v2).

• Train machine learning models using GPUs and oversee GPU resource management in Kubernetes.

• Perform fine-tuning of transformers and large language models (LLMs).

• Monitor experiments and models with MLflow.

• Create classical machine learning models leveraging XGBoost and CatBoost.

• Handle extensive datasets utilizing SQL Server and DuckDB.

• Construct Python-based pipelines, integrations, and tools.

• Uphold engineering standards through thorough testing, clean coding practices, and CI/CD using GitLab CI.

• Operate within a secure, zero-trust environment characterized by network policies and stringent container permissions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Kubeflow Pipelines, preferably KFP v2.

• Proficiency in training models on GPUs.

• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning LLMs and transformers.

• Familiarity with MLflow.

• Extensive knowledge of XGBoost, CatBoost, or comparable boosting models.

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Comprehensive SQL experience with an understanding of large-scale data processing.

• Experience with CI/CD processes, clean coding, and automated testing.

• Demonstrated production-level ML/MLOps experience beyond experimental notebook work.

• Background in enterprise or regulated cloud-native environments.

• Proficiency in German at the B2+ level.

• Proficiency in English at the B1+ level.
