This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of scalable data pipelines for the ingestion and transformation into enterprise data lakes and warehouses.
• Clean, prepare, and analyze both structured and unstructured data in collaboration with data engineers and scientists.
• Support the development and automation of model training, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
• Explore and analyze pharmaceutical commercial datasets to derive data-driven insights.
• Engage in the design of visualizations and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
• Learn and implement hypothesis testing, regression, and classification techniques.
• Collaborate on the implementation and monitoring of machine learning models in production settings.
• Document technical processes, models, and tools used in projects.
• Experiment with data engineering and MLOps tools and techniques.
• Take part in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Must be available for a full-time schedule.
• Expected to remain enrolled in an accredited college or university following the internship program or co-op.
• Student must be based in the United States for the entirety of the internship program.
• Must be prepared to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Currently enrolled in an MBA, Master’s, PharmD, or Ph.D. program at an accredited institution and have completed the first year prior to the start of the internship.
• In the process of completing the first year of a Master’s program with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Foundational experience in Python or R, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn, scikit-learn, and XGBoost.
• Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure platforms.
• Basic understanding of SQL with experience querying relational or big data sources.
• Interest or coursework in Natural Language Processing (NLP), time-series analysis, or statistical modeling.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative coding practices.
• Awareness of Databricks, Apache Spark, or Apache Airflow is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, project management, analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
• Relevant coursework in Business Systems analysis, Lean, Agile (SCRUM), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Development, Database Modeling, Web Design and Development, IT Management, cloud-based application management, B2B Collaboration, or enterprise systems.
