This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
β’ Establish the fundamental methodology for evaluating the value of financial collateral.
β’ Formulate causal hypotheses concerning sufficiency, the release of surplus collateral, basket composition, and customer service channels.
β’ Create a prioritization model that takes into account value, risk, effort, and data quality.
β’ Oversee experiment planning and validation utilizing real-world data.
β’ Specify metrics related to potential capital, loss given default (LGD), recovery, pricing, limits, risk appetite, and customer experience.
β’ Evaluate the originality of the methodology and its prospects for yielding a scientific paper or patent application.
β’ Completed PhD.
β’ Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Quantitative Economics, or a related discipline.
β’ Proficiency in causal inference.
β’ Experience in statistical modeling.
β’ Knowledge of machine learning techniques.
β’ Skills in optimization.
β’ Expertise in experimental design.
β’ Ability to conduct scenario simulation.
β’ Competence in model evaluation.
β’ Familiarity with validation metrics.
β’ Understanding of model explainability.
β’ Proficiency in Python.
β’ Knowledge of SQL.
β’ Ability to produce technical and scientific documentation.
β’ Experience with projects related to financial collateral, ideally in production settings.
β’ Demonstrated measurable results.
β’ Technical and scientific publications or registrations of intellectual property associated with the topic.
β’ Gross monthly scholarship stipend of BRL 11,000.
β’ Opportunity for scholarship renewal or transition to permanent employment.
