Senior Milk Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately execute payrolls for producers (both on-prem and SaaS) within set schedules for multiple clients.

• Oversee milk/component weights, manage data entry, and resolve issues within our operational systems.

• Ensure payments comply with Federal Order regulations — including formulas, pricing, labs, and weights — while maintaining records that are ready for audit.

• Carry out balancing and billing activities for plants.

• Act as the primary communicator among all stakeholders in the payroll process: producers, assignees, labs, field representatives, and management.

• Collaborate with Federal Order Marketing Administrators on behalf of our clients.

• Identify challenges and opportunities for enhancement, investigate solutions, and document results.

• Create standard operating procedures, training resources, and process documentation.

• Serve as a Tier II payroll support resource for all company clients.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams — including technology, customer service, and account management — to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Engage in KPI reporting and develop client relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Federal Order milk pooling and payment processes, milk payroll systems, or a comparable mix of education and experience.

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Proficient in advanced Excel skills; a ten-key alphanumeric speed of 10K KPH or higher is highly preferred.

• Possess a strong analytical mindset — capable of identifying patterns in data, tracing transactions, and drawing logical conclusions.

• Excellent communication abilities; capable of simplifying complex numerical information for clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

• Capacity to work autonomously, prioritize competing deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.

• Willingness to provide on-call support as needed (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).
