This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Act as a senior technical expert responsible for the architecture, administration, security, stability, and ongoing enhancement of the Microsoft infrastructure environment.
• Design and refine Hyper-V virtualization, Microsoft Intune endpoint management, Microsoft 365 services, and hybrid identity management through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Offer expert-level troubleshooting and Tier 3 escalation support for Windows Server, Group Policy, PKI, Veeam, Citrix, and other related infrastructure technologies.
• Lead and implement transformative enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
• Reduce technical debt by executing migrations and upgrades while modernizing processes.
• Develop and oversee backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster-recovery strategies.
• Monitor system health, manage patching and platform lifecycles, and address vulnerabilities.
• Set infrastructure standards and keep operational documentation, configuration records, policies, and procedures up to date.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to fellow administrators.
• Engage in incident response, on-call support, and scheduled maintenance outside regular business hours.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 10 years of practical experience in system administration.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing device compliance, configuration profiles, app deployment, conditional access, MDM/MAM, and Autopilot using Microsoft Intune.
• Proficiency in Hyper-V design, deployment, administration, clustering, live migration, and capacity planning.
• Extensive hands-on experience in administering Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Microsoft 365 security/compliance within an enterprise environment.
• Administration, patching, and hardening of Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, and SCCM.
• Experience with Citrix CVAD and PVS administration; knowledge of NetScaler is an advantage.
• Expertise in enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions; Veeam is preferred.
• Proficient in PowerShell and command-line scripting.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall concepts.
• Willingness to participate in on-call support, incident response, and planned maintenance outside regular business hours.
