This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Prepare, draft, and monitor new agreements, renewals, and amendments.
• Review and assess contracts to pinpoint potential risks and liabilities.
• Identify and utilize appropriate contract templates and supplier agreements.
• Document the tracking of contract reviews within the contract management database.
• Collaborate with the Contracts Manager regarding changes that exceed standard pre-approved modifications.
• Ensure contracts include all necessary attachments and supporting documents.
• Guarantee that contracts align with system guides and contract policies.
• Fully leverage contract database software.
• Act as a resource for other departments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Legal Services and Supply Chain Sourcing Managers.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service, ensuring timely communication via in-person interactions, email, and phone.
• Attend meetings as requested.
• Uphold professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Escalate and resolve issues as necessary.
• Monitor changes in healthcare and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Research and summarize issues utilizing federal and state resources, PHS policies and procedures, bylaws, Joint Commission and other accreditation standards, and applicable authorities.
• Draft and negotiate complex contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, Professional Services Agreements, Purchasing Agreements, and Educational Affiliation Agreements.
• Interpret contract terms and conditions, including fiscal and legal implications, and provide management with advice.
• Serve as a consultant and liaison with both internal and external customers on contractual matters.
• A Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, business, or healthcare administration is required.
• A Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal contracts is required.
• Ability to produce and deliver high-quality legal contracts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Effective time management skills are required.
• Analytical skills are necessary.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is required.
• Advanced knowledge of Meditract or similar document management software is required.
• Proven ability to multitask.
