This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Prepare, draft, and monitor new agreements, renewals, and amendments.
• Examine and analyze contracts to pinpoint potential risks and liabilities.
• Identify and apply the appropriate contract templates and supplier agreements.
• Document the tracking of all contract reviews within the contract management database.
• Collaborate with the Contracts Manager regarding alterations beyond standard pre-approved modifications.
• Ensure that contracts include all necessary attachments and supporting documents.
• Verify that contracts align with system guides and contractual policies.
• Fully leverage contract database software.
• Act as a resource for other departments.
• Serve as the main point of contact between Legal Services and Supply Chain Sourcing Managers.
• Provide internal and external customer service and communication through in-person interactions, emails, and phone calls.
• Attend meetings as requested.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Escalate and address issues as necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in healthcare and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Research and summarize issues utilizing federal and state sources, PHS policies and procedures, bylaws, Joint Commission, and other accreditation standards, as well as applicable authorities.
• A bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, business, or healthcare administration is required.
• A paralegal certificate is preferred.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal contracts is required.
• Ability to produce and deliver high-quality legal contracts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint.
• Advanced knowledge of Meditract or similar document management software.
• Proven ability to multitask effectively.
