Senior MES Consultant – Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Industry 4.0, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Lead the functional and technical assessment of the current MES ecosystem.

• Analyze manufacturing processes, configurations, integrations, and data structures.

• Evaluate MES support for production, quality, traceability, maintenance, and operational performance.

• Document industrial processes, data flows, and technical dependencies.

• Collaborate with Production, Operations, Quality, Engineering, IT/OT, and Manufacturing Data & Analytics teams.

• Identify opportunities for utilizing Data Analytics, Manufacturing Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence.

• Define and prioritize business use cases.

• Analyze industrial KPIs and manufacturing analytical needs.

• Design strategies to enhance productivity, quality, operational visibility, and decision-making.

• Analyze MES data models and productive information structures.

• Evaluate integrations between ERP, MES, SCADA, Historians, QMS, and CMMS/EAM.

• Define key data entities for a future manufacturing platform.

• Collaborate with Cloud and Data teams to design a target architecture on GCP.

• Define strategies for data ingestion, transformation, governance, and analytical exploitation.

• Participate in a strategic initiative to evolve MES into a Manufacturing Data & AI platform on GCP.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with MES solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial operations.

• Experience in implementation, evolution, support, and transformation of MES.

• Knowledge of production execution, quality management, traceability, industrial maintenance, and performance management.

• Experience integrating MES with ERP, SCADA, Historians, QMS, and CMMS/EAM.

• Familiarity with ISA-95 and IT/OT architectures.

• Experience conducting workshops, assessments, and requirements gathering.

• Professional proficiency in English (C1).

• Fluent in Spanish.

• Experience with Captor MES is a plus.

• Experience in Manufacturing Data Platforms, Manufacturing Data Foundations, and Data Lake Architectures is a plus.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.

• Experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and applying Artificial Intelligence to manufacturing is a plus.

• Knowledge of OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus is a plus.

• Experience defining target architectures and transformation roadmaps is a plus.

• Experience in consulting and direct client interaction is a plus.
