This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Oversee the designated territory as a scientific and medical authority in GIST and Systemic Mastocytosis.
• Influence marketing strategy by converting intricate scientific data into practical clinical insights, recognizing unmet needs through KOL engagement, and mapping the therapeutic landscape to steer product positioning.
• Assist in executing strategic priorities developed in partnership with Medical Affairs and Patient Advocacy, in alignment with corporate objectives and ongoing clinical development and commercialization efforts.
• Formulate and implement a territory strategy that aligns with regional business goals while ensuring compliant, precise, and data-driven scientific exchanges.
• Drive scientific engagement with thought leaders, subject matter experts, investigators, and HCPs to collect insights on clinical practices, scientific advancements, and competitive trends. Foster peer-to-peer relationships with leading scientific and medical experts (KOLs).
• Establish and sustain a robust network of experts; execute thought-leader development plans; enhance awareness of Cogent, bezuclastinib, and the product pipeline.
• Facilitate investigator-initiated research and real-world evidence proposals in alignment with the Lifecycle Management Team.
• Keep track of competitive activities and trends; share insights across U.S. and global teams.
• Lead the onboarding and continuous training for new Medical Affairs, Commercial, and cross-functional team members.
• An advanced medical or scientific degree is required (Master’s or Doctorate).
• Medical professional credentials are preferred (MD, DO, PhD, DNP, PharmD, etc.).
• Over 7 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs, including experience with commercial launches.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in hematology/oncology is required; experience in mastocytosis or MPN/MDS, and/or allergy/immunology is preferred.
• Proven track record of success in supporting product launches.
• Established connections with KOLs and HCPs in SM and/or GIST are preferred.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in small- to mid-sized biopharma.
• Experience engaging with relevant Market Access scientific teams is preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory standards.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret scientific literature and clinical data.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented approach.
• Highly adaptable, energetic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
