Senior Medical Science Liaison, North Central

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist the organization in achieving its commercial and educational goals as a Medical Science Liaison or Senior Medical Science Liaison.

• Act as a regional expert and provide support to the sales and commercial teams for Tempus oncology assays.

• Facilitate the exchange of clinical, scientific, and technical knowledge with regional oncology KOLs and physicians.

• Educate healthcare providers—including KOLs, community physicians, medical directors, and other HCPs—about Tempus oncology offerings through both in-person and virtual presentations.

• Communicate scientific data proactively and reactively.

• Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to provide scientific education for internal stakeholders.

• Attend relevant conferences and key meetings.

• Compile detailed meeting synopses and summaries of significant abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.

• Keep internal stakeholders informed on pertinent medical and scientific advancements.

• Share market intelligence proactively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong clinical and scientific background in oncology, genomic testing, and cancer biology.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Fundamental knowledge of molecular oncology, cancer biology, and associated patient management algorithms.

• Established relationships with KOLs in oncology.

• Working familiarity with genomic laboratory-developed testing (LDT).

• Knowledge of CLIA-88, CAP, and the Sunshine Act (2013).

• Public speaking skills with the capacity to effectively convey scientific topics and concepts.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong management abilities both inter-departmentally and intra-departmentally.

• Capability to educate and train others.

• Self-motivated individual with an ownership mentality.

• Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver results.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Advanced degree in a scientific or medical field (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSN).

• Basic understanding of oncology.

• At least 1 year of MSL experience in diagnostics, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors (preferred qualification).
