This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Edit digital and print materials for pharmaceutical advertising, including internal and external presentations, as well as corporate communications.
• Conduct medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking.
• Ensure language clarity, consistency, brand messaging accuracy, tone, cohesiveness, organization, adherence to client and AMA style, grammar, spelling, typographical accuracy, and formatting.
• Assist in reviews utilizing AI tools.
• Engage in content reviews throughout all project phases, including fact-checking with precise references.
• Oversee and allocate various brand tasks while managing competing deadlines.
• Collaborate with Editorial team members to ensure coverage.
• Work alongside Creative, Account, Project Management, and other team members to prioritize projects and drive completion while upholding quality standards.
• Lead designated launches and provide support for agency team and launch activities.
• Represent the Editorial team in internal kickoff and status meetings.
• Develop and maintain client and brand style guides.
• Onboard and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to departmental best practices and process initiatives.
• Notify Editorial management of any editorial process or quality concerns and assist in resolving issues.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education along with relevant professional experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of editing experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of current AMA style guidelines.
• Experience with medical, regulatory, and legal reviews.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations for drug promotion.
• Familiarity and confidence with medical/pharmaceutical terminology.
• Highly detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate.
• Proven experience managing rapidly changing priorities and deadlines in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to take initiative, demonstrate accountability, and work independently.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
