This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Conduct medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking for digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials, as well as internal and external presentations and corporate communications.
• Edit for clarity of language, consistency, accuracy in branding and messaging, appropriate tone, cohesiveness, organization, adherence to client and AMA style, and correction of grammar, spelling, typographical errors, and formatting.
• Assist with reviews using AI tools.
• Engage in content review across all project stages, including verifying facts with accurate references.
• Oversee and allocate multiple brand tasks with conflicting deadlines while coordinating coverage with members of the Editorial team.
• Collaborate with Creative, Account, Project Management, and other teams to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion without compromising quality.
• Take the lead on assigned launches and support the agency team and related launch tasks.
• Represent the Editorial team at internal kickoff and status meetings.
• Develop and maintain client and brand style guides.
• Onboard and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to departmental best practices and process initiatives.
• Notify Editorial management of any editorial process or quality issues and assist in resolving them.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education along with relevant professional experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of editing experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of current AMA style guidelines.
• Experience with medical, regulatory, and legal reviews.
• Knowledge of FDA requirements for drug promotion.
• Comfort and proficiency with medical, pharmaceutical, and industry terminology.
• Highly detail-oriented, thorough, and precise.
• Proven experience in managing rapidly changing priorities and deadlines in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to take initiative, be accountable, and work independently.
• Exceptional verbal, written, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
