Senior Medical Director, Oncology Life Sciences Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive, long-term clinical strategies for designated accounts utilizing multimodal real-world data, advanced AI tools, and solutions for clinical trial acceleration.

• Act as the primary clinical counterpart to Clinical Directors in biopharma, Medical Affairs leaders, and executives in Translational Medicine.

• Develop indication-specific battle decks that map standards of care, biomarker testing trends, and unmet clinical needs related to client pipeline assets.

• Evaluate client pipelines, analyze clinical trial outcomes, and review investor relations materials to predict client requirements and devise account growth strategies.

• Transform medical conference updates into actionable insights for clients.

• Counsel biopharma partners on trial protocol design, selection of cohorts, and the use of synthetic control arms.

• Collaborate with internal teams on significant client calls to convey scientific and clinical solutions.

• Serve as an internal subject matter expert for all Tempus products and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• An MD or DO is required.

• Board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology is necessary.

• A strong clinical emphasis on Gastrointestinal (GI) or Breast cancers is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated capability to analyze biopharma drug pipelines.

• Knowledge of clinical trial design and regulatory procedures is essential.

• Proficiency in utilizing complex real-world datasets, including NGS and clinical data.

• Proven history of fostering trustworthy relationships with biopharma leadership.

• Experience in leading intricate enterprise initiatives.

• Background in presenting to executive client teams is required.
