This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Ownership of Google Ads: Over time, you will manage the daily operations of our Google accounts. The UK is our primary market today, with plans to expand into the rest of the EU this year. Responsibilities include Search, Performance Max, Shopping, YouTube, and Demand Gen, as well as keyword research, match type strategies, negative keywords, ad copy, extensions, feed hygiene, landing page alignment, and daily optimization.
• Profit-conscious scaling: You will increase spending while ensuring that tCPA / CAC remains within target ranges. Your expertise allows you to enhance Search Abs Top IS through budget management, bidding strategies, and quality score improvement. You know how to scale a tCPA campaign effectively when performance exceeds expectations without inflating CACs.
• Compliance expertise & account stability: You will operate in strict adherence to ASA / CAP and GPhC regulations, especially Rule 12.12 (POMs cannot be advertised to the public). You will avoid referencing prescription medicines, named drugs, or terms like "medication" in ad copy. Additionally, you will maintain and improve our MCC and account structures to ensure resilience against the unique compliance challenges associated with GLP-1 advertising.
• Multi-geo management: You will handle multiple country accounts simultaneously without oversight issues, managing different keywords, localized ad copy, varying match type strategies, diverse compliance requirements, and distinct reporting formats. You will develop systems to make multi-geo operations manageable as they expand.
• Crafting ad copy, feeds, and landing pages: You will create compelling ad copy within strict character limits and compliance guidelines. You will treat Bolt as an e-commerce product on Google Shopping, taking ownership of the product feed, data quality, and transition from ad to landing page.
• Team development: As we expand our team with additional buyers, you will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and leading the Google pod. You will establish a solid foundation for this team as the initial hire.
• Proven experience with Google scaling (hands-on): You have personally managed Google Ads accounts with a spending threshold of £1M+/month for DTC e-commerce brands, actively engaging with the platform every day. Not "led a team that did it" or "oversaw an agency that did it." ***You*** did it.
• 5+ years of Google-specific expertise: You possess in-depth knowledge of Search, Performance Max, Shopping, YouTube, and Demand Gen. You're capable of engaging in meaningful discussions about tCPA vs tROAS vs Max Conversions, match type strategies, quality score levers, negative keyword management, Search Abs Top IS optimization, feed structure, attribution windows, and layering audiences based on search intent.
• Experience with DTC consumers: You have successfully scaled DTC brands rather than merely maintaining them after someone else has done so. You understand the dynamics of increasing spending month-over-month while keeping performance within acceptable limits and breaking through barriers that others may accept. You focus on purchases, CAC, LTV, and cohort economics rather than MQLs and lead generation.
• Structured operational habits: You engage in forecasting, maintain a weekly reporting rhythm, establish clear decision-making rules, and develop written plans. You're not just an exceptional optimizer; you're a dependable team member. Your work is transparent, and the leadership team trusts your metrics and decisions.
• Proficiency in ad copy and landing pages: You conceptualize hooks, angles, and offers beyond mere keywords. You write ad copy that drives conversions and work closely with CRO / LP teams to differentiate ad performance from landing page performance when issues arise.
• Multi-geo experience or the discipline to learn: You have either managed Google Ads across multiple countries previously or demonstrated the ability to effectively handle multiple complex tasks in parallel without losing focus.
• Startup work ethic: You are prepared to work 50+ hours/week, asynchronously, within a high-ownership culture. You measure your success by outcomes rather than hours worked, understanding that achieving desired outcomes requires significant intensity.
• Comprehensive medical insurance (if applicable).
• Free membership with a clinic providing GLP-1s.
• Paid time off with a yearly minimum (≥2 weeks/year + local national holidays).
• Budget for books, courses, and coaching ($1200/year).
• Budget for gym and health apps ($1200/year).
• Complimentary biweekly health coaching.
• MacBook and work-from-home equipment provided as necessary.
