Senior Mechanical Engineer – Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Design mobile mechanical systems tailored for oil and gas applications, including hydraulic equipment, mobile lifting systems, and field-service machinery.

• Improve reliability and efficiency in environments characterized by high pressure, heavy loads, and frequent cycles.

• Develop detailed CAD models and drawings utilizing Inventor (preferred), Pro-E, or SolidWorks software.

• Conduct testing and refinement of equipment to comply with API, ASME, and internal quality standards.

• Troubleshoot field issues, minimize downtime, and promote continuous improvement in system performance.

• Collaborate across functions with design, manufacturing, and field teams to provide robust and field-ready solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

• Over 5 years of experience in mechanical design specifically for oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment.

• Expertise in CAD software, including Inventor, Pro-E, and SolidWorks.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies.

• Demonstrated ability to oversee projects from initial concept to final deployment.

• Exceptional communication and documentation abilities.
