
Senior Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear Plant Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize knowledge in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and power plant engineering.
• Prepare and review calculations, evaluations, and technical reports that support client recommendations and assessments.
• Conduct sizing, optimization evaluations, and selection of equipment.
• Assist in system engineering, including the design, modification, and analysis of mechanical systems in nuclear power plants.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver technical discussions and updates on project status.
• Create engineering proposals and develop cost estimates.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineering staff on technical tasks related to power plant engineering.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for meetings and field verification as necessary.
• Lead engineering problem-solving efforts and direct the use of automation, data, AI, and agentic AI tools to enhance workflows and designs.
• Supervise engineers responsible for programming or scripting automation tools and review their automated outputs.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong academic foundation and enthusiasm for thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear power sector.
• Exceptional skills in technical report writing.
• Familiarity with practical mechanical engineering and technology applications in project design.
• Strong interest in numerical computations and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations relevant to mechanical engineering design in nuclear power plants.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization.
• A Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from an ABET-accredited program, a Professional Engineer (PE) License, and experience in automation/AI oversight are preferred but not mandatory.
