Senior Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for demanding clients in high-tech, forward-thinking sectors.

• Assess new and intricate customer requests regarding technical feasibility and economic viability.

• Deliver technical assistance from the design and conceptual phase all the way to series production.

• Formulate cost-efficient and technically optimal manufacturing strategies, including make-or-buy determinations.

• Facilitate technical coordination among Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research, and Development departments.

• Take on final technical accountability for intricate products and assemblies.

• Manage both internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well-informed decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed education in mechanical engineering, such as from a technical college (HTL), university of applied sciences (FH), or technical university (TU).

• Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or in specialized machinery and plant engineering.

• Hands-on experience in design, manufacturing, or joining technologies, with a solid grasp of tolerances and technical feasibility.

• Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficient CAD skills and familiarity with PDM, PLM, or ERP systems.

• A structured, analytical, and solution-focused work style complemented by strong logical thinking abilities.

• High level of personal responsibility, a hands-on approach, and a confident presence as a technical interface.

• Proficient in both German and English at a business-fluent (negotiation) level.
