Senior Mechanical Designer – Nuclear Power

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create mechanical physical layout drawings utilizing a 3-D model in collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering and design project teams.

• Design mechanical systems while investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving mechanical design challenges.

• Employ 3D modeling software tools to produce mechanical design schematics.

• Lead the coordination of detailed design phases for every element of an integrated mechanical design model.

• Oversee and direct other designers and project team members to guarantee comprehensive and timely design delivery.

• Independently plan and execute general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping composites, pipe support drawings, and equipment location drawings.

• Conduct field walkdowns and gather data at client facilities when necessary.

• Provide mentorship to junior drafters and designers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma coupled with 1 or more years of drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.

• A minimum of ten years of detailed physical design experience in developing mechanical general arrangements, piping systems, and supports.

• Expertise in design software tools for creating 3D plant layout models.

• Experience in reviewing mechanical equipment, including outlines and interface points, and coordinating related deliverables.

• Capability to collaborate with engineering and design teams from other disciplines within the power plant design process.

• Proficiency in MicroStation is advantageous but not mandatory.

• U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available.
