Senior MDR Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the entire investigation and response lifecycle for security alerts across customer environments.

• Examine endpoint, network, identity, and cloud telemetry to detect and address malicious activities.

• Record and relay essential findings and remediation strategies to both customers and internal teams.

• Collaborate with MDR management on executing operational shifts, enhancing technical capabilities, and improving workflows.

• Work alongside Threat Intelligence and Security Research teams to bolster detection and response abilities.

• Identify and manage complex cyber incidents.

• Handle escalations and direct tactical shift operations utilizing the Cortex Platform.

• Provide coverage across global time zones, including weekends, in a remote shift-based capacity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in SOC, Incident Response, MDR, or Managed Security Services.

• Practical experience with EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and firewall technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of cyber threats, attack methodologies, and incident response protocols.

• Familiarity with APT operations and the attack lifecycle, including propagation and lateral movement.

• Understanding of organizational cyber defense, security tools, and applicable remediation techniques.

• Experience with SIEM, packet capture analysis, host forensics, and EDR tools.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of effective collaboration with customers.

• Willingness to work overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts in a 24x7 MDR operation.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Preferred hands-on experience with Cortex XDR and/or Cortex XSOAR platforms.

• Previous experience in shift-based or overnight security operations is advantageous.

• Active security certifications such as CySA+, CEH, or comparable credentials are preferred.

• Prior work in a dedicated SOC or Incident Response setting is favored.
