This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review and offer guidance on marketing initiatives, advertisements, promotional materials, and other public-facing content to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Legal, Risk, and Business stakeholders to identify and address compliance risks proactively.
• Assess marketing claims, disclosures, and representations for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to regulations.
• Provide actionable compliance recommendations that align with business goals.
• Monitor developments in federal and state regulations impacting marketing, advertising, communications, lead generation, and financial products.
• Simplify complex regulatory requirements into practical business advice.
• Evaluate regulatory changes and suggest updates to marketing practices, disclosures, processes, and controls.
• Develop and uphold marketing and compliance policies, procedures, review frameworks, and approval workflows.
• Produce guidance documents, job aids, training resources, and best practice guidelines.
• Support scalable review and approval processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance reviews, approvals, findings, and recommendations.
• Offer strategic guidance and oversight for marketing procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews and monitoring activities.
• Identify compliance risks, control deficiencies, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Assist with internal audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance inquiries.
• Develop reporting and metrics to monitor compliance effectiveness and emerging trends.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Over 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory, marketing compliance, consumer lending, banking, financial services, or a related area.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of consumer financial services regulations, advertising standards, UDAAP principles, and customer communication guidelines.
• Experience in reviewing marketing materials, advertising content, disclosures, and communications directed at customers.
• Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing clear and practical guidance.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and workflow/document management systems.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and ensure project completion with minimal supervision.
• Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to staying informed about evolving regulatory and marketing trends.
• Eager to collaborate, learn, and help establish scalable compliance processes that foster business growth.
• Experience in supporting compliance for marketing, advertising, lead generation, or customer communications within a regulated sector.
• Familiarity with CFPB guidance, UDAAP principles, consumer lending regulations, and digital marketing compliance aspects.
• Experience collaborating with creative teams, product marketing teams, or customer acquisition departments.
• CRCM or other relevant compliance certifications are preferred.
• All roles necessitate travel during the initial 6 months of employment to participate in the BHG Oars in Experience; ongoing travel is anticipated at around 5% annually.
• Must currently hold valid U.S. work authorization that does not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
