📋 Description

• Lead and establish the first-line vendor oversight function for secured lending, which encompasses vendor inventory management, a risk-tiering strategy, monitoring schedules, governance reporting, and escalation procedures for essential third-party relationships.

• Oversee business operations concerning critical vendors and outsourced functions throughout the third-party risk lifecycle, which includes providing due diligence support, tracking contracts and service levels, monitoring performance, managing issues, and planning for terminations or exits.

• Track vendor performance against contractual obligations, service standards, data requirements, compliance expectations, and business controls, while identifying trends that could pose operational, regulatory, consumer, or continuity risks.

• Facilitate the resolution of vendor performance issues by pinpointing root causes, coordinating corrective actions, monitoring issue resolution, and escalating significant risks to business leaders, Compliance, Legal, Enterprise Risk, and other stakeholders.

• Ensure contingency, transition, and exit strategies are in place for critical third-party relationships, with a focus on understanding and managing vendor dependencies to prevent unacceptable concentration, continuity, or operational risks.

• Generate clear and inspection-ready vendor oversight documentation, including performance reports, risk assessments, issue logs, business evaluations, evidence packages, and executive summaries for review by bank partners and regulators.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in third-party risk management, vendor management, financial services operations, operational risk, compliance, or a related role within a regulated financial services environment.

• Proven experience in overseeing critical vendor relationships or outsourced business operations, including risk tiering, due diligence, continuous performance monitoring, issue management, and exit or contingency planning.

• Experience in managing vendor adherence to contractual terms, service-level agreements, data requirements, control standards, or business continuity protocols.

• Demonstrated ability to identify, escalate, and remediate vendor performance issues, compliance violations, operational incidents, consumer impact risks, or fourth-party risks.

• Experience leading teams, managing a vendor oversight function, or owning cross-functional third-party risk, operational risk, compliance, or financial services control initiatives.

• Familiarity with applying OCC, FFIEC, or similar bank regulatory expectations for third-party risk management, including risk-based oversight of critical vendors and outsourced operations in a regulated banking or bank-partner setting.

• Experience in developing or enhancing a first-line vendor oversight program for a business unit, operating within a 2LOD or enterprise TPRM framework.

• Experience managing one or more of the following vendor or partner categories in consumer lending: mortgage subservicers, loan origination system or technology platform vendors, dealer networks (including dealer due diligence and conduct monitoring), affiliate or fintech platform relationships, appraisal management firms, title and settlement providers, or credit reporting and data vendors.

• Knowledge of consumer lending operations, servicing controls, complaint or error resolution, credit reporting oversight, data integrity, vendor controls, or consumer compliance risk.

• Proficient in producing examination-ready vendor oversight documentation, performance reports, risk assessments, issue tracking, governance materials, policies and procedures, and executive summaries.
