Assistant Sourcing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of sourcing strategies and vendor ecosystems.

• Identify and cultivate new supplier partnerships.

• Ensure that current vendors meet performance standards in terms of quality, cost, and service.

• Collaborate across departments to promote sourcing initiatives.

• Analyze data to enhance product availability, optimize costs, and ensure a steady supply.

• Contribute to and assist with sourcing functions within the organization.

• Ensure the effective implementation of sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.

• Lead and facilitate vendor discovery, evaluation, selection, and onboarding processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vendor capabilities match product and business requirements.

• Maintain and update vendor information, documentation, and onboarding procedures.

• Provide administrative assistance for various sourcing activities.

• Collect and analyze data on suppliers, market trends, and pricing.

• Generate clear, data-driven insights and reports.

• Track and evaluate vendor performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, or a related area.

• Proven experience in vendor management and onboarding processes.

• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Maintain a consistent work-from-home setup that is free from distractions, with the capability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.

• Experience working collaboratively across functions on strategic initiatives.

• Background in new product development is advantageous.

• Experience in the furniture or related industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
