This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Define the strategy for Ryder's range of multi-channel digital products, which includes websites, mobile applications, and IoT experiences.
• Create a design language system for product stakeholders and outline best practices to engage product teams effectively.
• Assist product stakeholders who are accountable for executing and supporting initiatives, standards, and solutions.
• Provide cohesive governance over the design language system and advocate for design thinking.
• Ensure a seamless user experience across all platforms by employing methodologies, user research, visual patterns, and style guides.
• Conduct competitive analysis, user research, behavioral specifications, and persona development.
• Create user journeys, test plans, information architecture, page flows, product roadmaps, and wireframes.
• Design and conduct workshops.
• Enhance customers' end-to-end experiences using data, insights, and research.
• Identify design issues and formulate user-centered solutions through rapid testing and iteration.
• Establish qualitative and quantitative research practices and provide guidance to others.
• Develop and lead internal user research and validation initiatives, including testing processes and partnerships.
• Streamline design-team frameworks and cross-functional workflows while assisting development teams.
• Champion design thinking, product strategies, and developments throughout the organization using data-driven presentations.
• Mentor, manage, and promote multidisciplinary User Experience team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Proven experience in designing large-scale, high-profile customer experiences for a diverse array of personas.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a comprehensive design system that supports multiple product development teams.
• Proficient in user research and both quantitative and qualitative testing methodologies.
• Capability to convert research insights into strategic business recommendations.
• Strong portfolio that highlights aesthetic design and interactive web and mobile projects.
• Advanced skills in UX software such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, XD, or other design, wireframing, and prototyping tools.
• In-depth understanding of fundamental front-end languages and frameworks, including web component libraries, JavaScript, PWAs, and other contemporary development frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Advanced education in Interaction/UX Design or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in product research and user experience (UX) design is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing for web, mobile, and various application types is required.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time.
• Must meet any applicable requirements related to employment, education, motor vehicle, road-test, badging, or customer background checks.
