
Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Facilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Lead and implement strategic sourcing initiatives across facilities categories and associated services and supplies, including maintenance, repairs, utilities, janitorial, HVAC, and construction.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to pinpoint priorities and challenges, and create category-specific sourcing strategies.
• Oversee the complete RFP process, which encompasses data collection, RFP creation and execution, proposal assessment, supplier negotiations, presentation of results, and assistance in award decisions and contracting.
• Assess supplier proposals utilizing TCO modeling.
• Formulate cost-reduction strategies that incorporate value engineering and demand optimization.
• Spearhead research and analytics to substantiate savings projections and facilitate supplier negotiations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Investigate suppliers and the evolving market trends and capabilities.
• Enhance communication between client business units and suppliers.
• Construct and manage supplier ecosystems by category and region.
• Review significant contracts and act as a subject matter expert for intricate negotiations.
• Monitor spending, supplier performance, and savings goals.
• Cultivate relationships across organizational levels, including partnerships with C-suite executives.
• Report directly to the Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement – Facilities.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• 8–10 years of experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing with extensive knowledge in facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in developing category strategies and leading large-scale sourcing initiatives.
• Strong background in supplier negotiations.
• Experience engaging with clients and/or stakeholders at all organizational levels, particularly within service sectors.
• Proficiency in TCO modeling and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience in driving change management and fostering cross-functional consensus.
• Experience in implementing recommendations for value engineering and specification optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of supplier ecosystems relevant to IT categories.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
• Ability to meet client expectations, influence stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Capacity to interpret complex data and convert insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Capability to build relationships and establish credibility beyond the defined scope of work.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Minimal travel required; approximately 5% travel.
