This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the strategy, daily operations, and effectiveness of Solutions Engineering functions.

• Lead a team of Solutions Engineers who act as the technical link between Posit's product features and customer achievements.

• Oversee a high-impact team dedicated to scoped engagements (SOWs), specific use-case implementations, and critical technical escalations at the account level.

• Develop and uphold playbooks, processes, and quality standards across all three functions.

• Recruit, mentor, and nurture individual contributors and team leaders while fostering a culture of proactive customer partnership and continuous improvement.

• Establish and monitor key metrics such as Time-to-Value, CSAT, utilization, and quality of project delivery.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, TAM, and Product/Engineering teams to ensure smooth transitions, aligned customer journeys, and a robust feedback mechanism from the field to the product.

• Act as a senior escalation point for delivery challenges, stabilizing at-risk engagements and ensuring that lessons learned enhance future delivery.

• Advocate for the integration of AI tools and automation within your teams — from AI-assisted scoping and documentation to LLM-powered customer workflows.


⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Professional Services, Solutions Engineering, or a similar post-sales technical role, with proven success in managing teams within a B2B enterprise software setting.

• Practical experience with intricate on-premise or hybrid deployments. Knowledge of the analytics, reporting, or data science software ecosystem is highly advantageous.

• Proven capability to establish processes, create playbooks, and scale delivery — not merely manage individuals.

• Experience in scoping and executing SOW-based engagements, with comfort in project economics, capacity planning, and managing utilization targets.

• Ability to relate customer challenges to platform capabilities, and to formulate frameworks that assist SEs in achieving this at scale.

• You actively utilize AI tools (e.g., coding assistants, LLM-powered workflows, automation) in your work and understand their genuine value versus mere hype. You can critically assess AI use cases, aid your team in confidently adopting new tools, and guide customers in leveraging AI for their analytics and data science processes.

• A manager who focuses on developing people, not just overseeing tasks. You invest in your team's career growth and technical expertise — ensuring they stay updated on emerging tools and AI innovations.
