This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Directs a team of software and quality engineers focused on compliance automation, AI solutions, risk controls, and regulatory technology platforms.
• Responsible for the engineering roadmap pertaining to the compliance and risk domain, balancing regulatory urgency, technical sustainability, and product prioritization.
• Establishes and maintains software quality, legal & privacy architecture, engineering standards, and NBCU cyber guidelines.
• Facilitates delivery across multiple complex and concurrent programs/projects.
• Collaborates with the Principal architect, scrum lead, product owner, and technical project manager to ensure adherence to standards and ensure stakeholder visibility.
• Manages platforms, automation, and AI solutions that support business capabilities such as Ethics & Compliance Enablement, Controls Engineering & Validation, Compliance Driven Vulnerability Discovery, Regulatory Compliance Automation, Risk Management Tooling, GRC Platform Operations, and AI / ML Governance and Controls.
• Communicates program status, risk exposure, and engineering trade-offs to SVPs, VPs, and Directors in a clear and business-relevant manner.
• Works closely with SaaS providers and internal teams to ensure system health and performance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including 4 or more years in engineering management or senior technical leadership roles.
• More than 5 years of experience leading machine learning and automation solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience in deploying AI solutions.
• Proven experience delivering compliance, regulatory, risk, or governance technology in a large enterprise setting.
• Familiarity with major privacy and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Strong history of leading cross-functional programs involving legal, privacy, and compliance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively at the S/VP levels.
• Experience in managing and developing engineering teams (software and quality engineers + managers) within a matrixed Fortune 100 or equivalent environment.
