Senior Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy, implementation, and daily engineering operations for a crucial Protect domain, emphasizing reliability, quality of delivery, and technical well-being.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers while fostering a culture of ownership, ongoing improvement, and robust technical execution.

• Remain engaged with the architecture and implementation specifics, seamlessly transitioning between planning, technical design, and operational troubleshooting as necessary.

• Collaborate with Product, Research, SRE, and other engineering teams to prioritize tasks, eliminate obstacles, and deliver scalable solutions within a multi-cloud environment.

• Enhance engineering fundamentals in your area, such as observability, incident response, quality practices, CI/CD, and team operating rhythms.

• Leverage data, metrics, and technical insight to identify systemic challenges, boost team productivity, and elevate execution standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in software, platform, or cloud engineering, including direct experience in team leadership and delivery results.

• Extensive hands-on experience in building and managing distributed systems in AWS and/or GCP, along with familiarity in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering methodologies.

• Demonstrated capability to guide engineers through execution, enhance engineering processes, and deliver reliable systems in a production environment.

• Strong technical foundation in contemporary backend engineering, observability, and operational excellence.

• Experience in fraud prevention, authentication, voice biometrics, trust and safety, or similar security-related products (Nice-to-haves).

• Prior practical experience as a software, infrastructure, or platform engineer before advancing into management (Nice-to-haves).

• Experience in high-growth SaaS settings where speed, scalability, and cross-functional collaboration are critical (Nice-to-haves).
