Senior Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to customer activation, engagement, and expansion within Engine’s travel marketplace, which includes Flights and Partner Hub.

• Promote technical excellence, foster extreme ownership, encourage rapid execution, and ensure accountability and growth.

• Oversee the complete development lifecycle of engineering projects.

• Innovate AI-driven practices to enhance quality and delivery while adhering to security, scalability, and excellence standards.

• Enhance efficiency through agile methodologies, engineering best practices, intelligent automation, and sophisticated workflows.

• Improve processes and tools to maximize productivity and expedite delivery.

• Connect engineering with other teams by aligning priorities and simplifying complex technical concepts for business stakeholders and leadership.

• Advocate for a customer-centric engineering culture through data-driven, consumer-grade solutions.

• Incorporate emerging technologies and innovative strategies to deepen product offerings and support business growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering.

• At least 5 years in a managerial position.

• A proven history of effectively leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.

• Outstanding leadership with a focus on achieving high-velocity results and fostering a performance-oriented culture.

• Strong problem-solving skills and an AI-first mindset.

• A technical background in some or all of the following: Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, AWS (Lambda/Terraform), and Datadog.

• Experience utilizing tools such as Claude and Cursor.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of agile software development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

• A strategic and results-oriented approach to engineering and team leadership.

• Adaptability and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
