Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic technical guidance for the Data Self-Service Platform utilizing React, Python, and Snowflake.

• Lead one of the Data Platform teams and oversee the complete delivery of a vital internal self-service application.

• Revamp the methods of accessing and managing data through intuitive self-service tools.

• Develop a Self-Service Data Quality Platform for monitoring pipelines, issuing alerts, and ensuring data integrity.

• Create an AI-driven analytics platform to produce semantic layers and data models for analytical agents.

• Supervise, mentor, and promote the professional development of software engineers.

• Manage project planning, resource distribution, and delivery schedules.

• Act as a liaison between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Guarantee high-quality code, observability, and sound architectural practices.

• Conduct agile ceremonies and enhance operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience with a demonstrated history in leadership and management.

• Proven experience leading full-stack teams; experience with React/Python is preferred.

• Excellent communication abilities for managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in overseeing production-level full-stack applications.

• Familiarity with gRPC/REST API development.

• Experience managing environments using Docker containers.

• Background in CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps/GitHub.

• Knowledge of Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.

• Understanding of relational/cloud data platforms, particularly Snowflake.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: experience with Claude AI, AI-augmented development environments, or MCPs.

• Preferred: knowledge of Terraform.

• Preferred: exposure to CQRS, Domain-Driven Design, and MediatR.

• Preferred: understanding of structured logging, retry policies, and health check integrations.

• Preferred: familiarity with JWT, Okta, and policy-based authentication.

• Preferred: experience with .NET 6+ or .NET 8.0.

• Preferred: experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
