Senior Manager, Site Inventory

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement strategies to enhance raw material and work-in-process inventory while fulfilling operational and customer service needs.

• Oversee inventory segmentation, safety stock management, and the formulation of inventory policies.

• Detect opportunities to boost inventory productivity through data analysis, process enhancements, and automation.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing working capital, enhancing inventory turnover, and mitigating inventory risks.

• Track inventory health metrics and devise corrective action strategies for emerging threats.

• Minimize excess, obsolete, and at-risk inventory levels.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of inventory planners, analysts, and optimization specialists.

• Set team priorities, performance targets, and developmental plans.

• Provide leadership and guidance on intricate inventory challenges and cross-functional projects.

• Collaborate with Supply Planning and Operational Scheduling teams to synchronize inventory strategies with manufacturing plans.

• Aid in the development, submission, and integrity of operational forecasts.

• Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Site Leadership to address inventory challenges and enhance performance.

• Leverage data analytics to uncover inventory optimization potential and craft business cases.

• Conduct inventory reviews and deliver actionable insights to leadership teams.

• Create reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators to track inventory performance.

• Prioritize inventory improvement initiatives based on business impact and associated risks.

• Communicate inventory strategies, risks, performance updates, and recommendations to Director-level+ leadership.

• Facilitate governance forums and inventory review meetings.

• Highlight critical inventory, supply, and operational risks along with suggested mitigation strategies.

• Assist in the development of the annual operating plan and inventory planning processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership experience.

• For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a qualification that meets the criteria of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.

• Proven experience in end-to-end inventory optimization from Raw Material to Finished Goods.

• Familiarity with Blue Yonder software.

• Strong executive presence with the capability to convey insights, recommendations, risks, and strategic initiatives to Director-level and senior leadership audiences.

• Experience in leading inventory planning and analytical teams.

• Knowledge in inventory segmentation, safety stock management, and inventory policy formulation.

• Proficiency in utilizing data analytics, reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across various functions including Supply Planning, Operational Scheduling, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and Site Leadership.

• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment for roles below Principal level.
