This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Design and execute extensive risk management frameworks and strategies specifically tailored for sports gaming operations.
• Assess risk exposure and analyze operational processes to maximize profits while minimizing potential financial losses.
• Supervise daily trading operations, including pricing, market-making, and the management of trading thresholds.
• Ensure that the trading team functions efficiently and effectively within fluctuating market conditions.
• Create and apply analytical and modeling techniques to evaluate market trends, customer behaviors, and risk patterns.
• Leverage insights to guide trading strategies and enhance the overall performance of the sports gaming portfolio.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of risk analysts and traders.
• Promote a collaborative and innovative atmosphere, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.
• Work alongside marketing, product development, and technology teams to ensure that risk and trading strategies align with overarching business objectives.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Remain updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities within the sports gaming sector.
• Utilize market knowledge to refine trading operations and risk management practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within the sports betting industry or a related field.
• A proven history of success in managing sportsbook or fantasy sports risk and formulating effective trading strategies.
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and make swift, informed decisions.
• Familiarity with sports betting markets and trends, including a thorough understanding of betting lines, odds, and pricing models.
• Proficiency in sports data and analytics tools, such as sports data feeds and statistical models.
• Experience with risk management techniques and tools, including exposure limits, hedging, and diversification strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong leadership and management abilities, with the capacity to mentor and oversee junior traders.
